Why this journey

The learning behind it.

A practical art journey led by a working artist. Students paint outdoors on the Pissouri coast and high in the Troodos Mountains, study the Roman mosaics and rock-cut tombs of Paphos as primary sources for Art History and Classics, and end the week in the artist's own studio. It suits GCSE and A-level Art groups who need observational work for their portfolios, and Classics groups who want to see myth told in stone.

What students take away

  • Observational drawing and painting outdoors
  • Portfolio work for GCSE and A level
  • Myth, mosaic and the classical world
  • Landscape, heritage and Cypriot culture
