Educational & experiential travel

The world is your classroom.

Extraordinary journeys.
Designed with purpose.

Tell us what you want students to learn. We shape the journey around it — and take care of everything that makes it possible.

Established travel management expertise

Bespoke

Built around learning objectives, not package itineraries

ISO 31031

Planning aligned to the international guidance on youth & school trips

Safeguarding

A safeguarding plan agreed with your school before every departure

Only with BFC

Signature experiences.

Small things we build into journeys that students remember long after the trip.

01

Walking Hunt

Our signature. Instead of a standard city tour, a gamified challenge built around your learning objectives, so students discover a place for themselves.

02

Photo Marathon

New. Each team gets a disposable analogue camera and a set of themes to shoot, slowing them down to really look.

03

Professional practitioners

Theatre workshops, field science and outdoor skills led by people who do it for a living.

04

Trip Time Capsule

A memory wall and a letter to their future self, so the trip keeps working after students get home.

Our starting point

Not just where.
But why.

A residential can build a new school community. A market conversation can unlock a language. Fieldwork can make a classroom concept real.

01
You tell us the learning goal.

Age group, curriculum, ambitions, access needs and budget.

02
We build the journey around it.

The right places, people and activities — connected with purpose.

03
We make the complex manageable.

Suppliers, logistics, information and operational readiness.

Tell us what you have in mind ↗︎
Built around what your school values

Learning that goes beyond the syllabus.

Whatever your school’s priorities, from academic depth to service, we start from them and design the journey to match.

Academic depth

Curriculum-linked fieldwork, galleries, labs and specialist sessions.

Borneo · Paris · Cambridge

Languages & culture

Using a language for real, and understanding the people who speak it.

DELF · DELE · Nice · China

Life skills & leadership

Challenge, teamwork and responsibility, away from the usual routine.

Lofoten · Via Dinarica · North Wales

Future pathways

Universities, industries and the people who work in them.

Cambridge · USA · Belgium

Service & community

Contributing to conservation and community projects, responsibly.

Southern Africa · Costa Rica

Inclusion & wellbeing

Access, medical, dietary and faith needs planned in from the first conversation.

What teachers say

In their words.

BFC’s meticulous planning and preparation were evident from the moment we started the trip. The exceptional organisation allowed the teachers to fully concentrate on what they do best. Fei’s ability to build relationships and provide pastoral care to the students is a huge part of why these trips have been so successful.

Assistant Principal, Middle School · International school, Surrey

Fei is a joy to work and travel with: professional, proactive and always student-focused. Students love her energy, staff feel supported, and there’s always plenty of laughter along the way.

Grade 7 Leader & English Teacher · International school, Surrey

The Tour Director handled absolutely everything for our Space Trip to Singapore, from logistics to last-minute adjustments, allowing me to focus entirely on my students. It was by far the least stressful trip I’ve ever led.

Imagination in the experience. Rigour behind it.

What students see is only half the story.

The discoveries are memorable. The quiet work behind them is what makes a programme dependable — for teachers, leadership and families.

Our approach: risk-conscious educational travel, not a checklist dressed as an experience. How we work ↗︎
How we run every journey

Paperwork, managed.

Risk assessments, medical forms and parental consents, handled through our secure school platform, Ildána. We built it from nearly two decades of running school journeys, aligned with ISO 31031. Its own site for schools is on the way.

About Ildána ↗︎
One school. Or across a whole group.

Central confidence.
Local character.

For multi-school groups, travel becomes more manageable when planning, provider information and responsibilities follow a coherent approach — without every school taking the same trip.

  • Shared expectations across schools
  • School-specific programmes and objectives
  • Clearer provider and trip information
  • Continuity as staff and programmes change
