The learning behind it.
Sea turtle conservation is one of the most memorable and scientifically grounded service programmes a school can take on. On Costa Rica's Pacific coast, students patrol beaches at dawn, help with nest monitoring and hatchery work, survey the coastal ecosystem and meet the local fishing community. The same programme can run in Oman or Greece for schools closer to those regions.
