Why this journey

The learning behind it.

Students meet Shakespeare as living theatre rather than a set text. Workshops led by professional theatre practitioners take a scene from page to stage, and the group devises and performs its own piece before the stay ends. A gamified walking hunt, a STEAM challenge and time on the river make it as much about the group as the play.

What students take away

  • Close reading of a text through performance
  • Confidence speaking and performing in front of peers
  • Tudor and Jacobean context in the town Shakespeare knew
  • Teamwork and creative problem-solving

Every journey is designed around your brief. Length, activities and accommodation change with your group.

Learning in action

Every group devises and performs its own short piece, then writes a letter to their future self about what the trip changed.

Fei is professional and personal in her care to detail of every trip, addressing the needs of the students and teachers. She incorporates elements of every subject area and stays flexible to accommodate changes in plans.
